Happy St.Patrick's Day

This project included close collaboration with our good friends at www.raywray.com who design & install beautiful custom bars.
Photos of some of the custom designed elements appear in earlier posts as we progressed in the design and fabrication phases.
The signs, custom carved corbels, and oval "O'Toole's" Medallions were our contibution to this fresh new upgrade. You can see before and after photos on the web at the Timothy O'Toole's Pub web site but these are the current renovation photos. Just in time for St.Patrick's day here in Chicago where the river runs Green and everyone is Irish.

This is a classic! Manufactured in redwood with painted letters and a clear coat finish. We think it speaks for itself.
If you have a favorite saying or words of wisdom to turn into a custom house warming or business gift, we will be happy to help.

Custom signs = custom letters

This pilot is of a letter we are developing for a new commercial sign. I'm sure we will publish more as it progresses but this one is a customer sample to determine if this font, size, shape, and overall appearance will be suitable for the final design.
Its a dimensional radiused letter 1,1/4" thick that will be mounted proud of the back paneland finished in a bronze color. The key is having a sample in your hands to help realize your design vision.
Let us help turn your vision into reality. Enjoy!

Lakes & Boats; Homes & Signs

Earlier we posted a few Redwood and Mahogany examples and a 3d Muskie sign to inspire ideas and exhibit a few techniques. A new client incorporated some of the materials and shapes to achieve her own personal vision.
You might notice that the grain pattern on this hand selected Redwood is positioned so the wavy grain at the water level compliments the water artwork effect in this design. Subtle but important details like this are important to us when we make these custom items.
One of a kind personalized signs and plaques make truly unique gifts for those special friends and relatives.
We hope you like this one and welcome the opportunity to create a personalized piece for you.

PERFECT for Garden art

There are several examples of our copolymer dual color plastic routed signs on our web site and here on the blog. I don't know why it hasn't come up before but this is a GREAT application for this material.
The extreme weather and seasonal changes, the pesticides and fertilizers, the dirt and grass clippings, not to mention that sprinkling would destroy a painted wood sign is a very short time. Probably in a year or less.
This customer saw the merits of our material and made a beautiful selection for this routed Garden Memorial sign.
The applications people think of always amaze me but this one's a real winner.
Easy maintaince, won't rot, rust, or chip and it will last for years and years. The sprinklers will even wash it off on a regular basis.
FANTASTIC application we hope we can make one for your garden or special outdoor space.

At the lake

When we get invloved with these dimensional designs, its always a great experience. The challenge of design and fabrication is sometimes a head scratcher but the reward when it's completed puts a smile on my face. So here it is,a special birthday present ready to move to it's new home on a nearby lake. Now I'm insired and ready for that Canadian fishing trip. Guess they call that "Catch and release"
If we can help you with a unique sign of distinction, please let us know.
