Fleur d'les

This dimensional pattern is another example of the custom work done here at Wellhouse Woodworks. Our client had discovered this gem on an antique piece of furniture and wanted it duplicated.
By simply using a model and photo of the original we were able to duplicate several pieces in red oak. With a tiny bit of finishing and hand work, these will fit right in and match beautifully.
When it comes to architectural artistry and creative embellishments, give us a call.

Happy St.Patrick's Day

This project included close collaboration with our good friends at www.raywray.com who design & install beautiful custom bars.
Photos of some of the custom designed elements appear in earlier posts as we progressed in the design and fabrication phases.
The signs, custom carved corbels, and oval "O'Toole's" Medallions were our contibution to this fresh new upgrade. You can see before and after photos on the web at the Timothy O'Toole's Pub web site but these are the current renovation photos. Just in time for St.Patrick's day here in Chicago where the river runs Green and everyone is Irish.

Some fun new 3D items

Occasionally we have some time to experiment with new designs and ideas. As we develop these techniques, they frequently give folks ideas about what they might like.
They also help us show some of our capability and make new ideas easier to develop.
Here are a few for your enjoyment and consideration. We are happy to develop unique designs for just about any application.
Enjoy

Architectural Artistry

These designs are the result of a client request to fabricate several rather plain corbels. The original design was a simple shape with no dimensional detail. Once we understood the application we suggested the added V routed dimensional option shown here. I think you'll agree these both turn a simple outlined shape into a eye catching piece of art that will greatly enhance the appearance of the project.

Just one of the services we provide to add the sizzle to an otherwise ordinary piece.

Ready for Spring

We published some earlier renderings on our web site of this monument but now its real. This design was the result of close customer collaboration, nice graphics in our two color polymer materials, and the addition of removeable flower pots ready for spring planting. We think it's a great piece and know that it will really set off this property and showcase the tenants.
Just one of the many custom projects we've been fortunate to participate in.

Lakes & Boats; Homes & Signs

Earlier we posted a few Redwood and Mahogany examples and a 3d Muskie sign to inspire ideas and exhibit a few techniques. A new client incorporated some of the materials and shapes to achieve her own personal vision.
You might notice that the grain pattern on this hand selected Redwood is positioned so the wavy grain at the water level compliments the water artwork effect in this design. Subtle but important details like this are important to us when we make these custom items.
One of a kind personalized signs and plaques make truly unique gifts for those special friends and relatives.
We hope you like this one and welcome the opportunity to create a personalized piece for you.
